Walz and Vance don’t matter

We now know the VP picks. Both are poor choices by Trump and Harris. Neither VP candidate will bring in a single extra vote to their ticket. They don’t matter. We can finally stop talking about them.

It’s only Trump vs. Harris, and Harris right now has the wind at her back. The massive Crowdstrike debacle, combined with Biden dropping out of the race, has erased the assassination attempt in the news and the eyes of the public. Does anyone even remember that Trump was almost killed? The media isn’t asking questions about the investigation or demanding an unscripted interview with Harris. The propaganda machine is firing on all cylinders.

Harris must have Obama speechwriters working for her. Her scripted speeches went from utter nonsense, probably from her input, to soaring rhetoric about how we’re going to move forward and look to the future. While Trump’s message, “Make America Great Again,” is backward focused and, while effective against Biden, looks old and tired compared to the Pollyanna utopian language used after Harris knifed her way to the front.

I think Trump’s team didn’t imagine the Democrats would submarine Biden for anyone. They didn’t have a plan. Their response, even today, is old and tired. It won’t inspire anyone. In my opinion, the Trump team needs to juxtapose Harris’ campaign rhetoric with the reality of what those same policies have already brought.

She talks about an economy where only one job is needed to get by. Contrast that with the 20% cumulative inflation since Biden took office and how people today need two jobs to pay for groceries, rent, and gasoline. Talk about home mortgage interest rates at the highest levels in 25 years. Put those facts up against her praise for Biden. Then push the narrative that Harris knew about Biden’s decline and said nothing. She went right along with the program, knowing his dementia was accelerating, and didn’t raise a finger. Then the Democratic Party mobilized their heavyweights to push Biden out. If that didn’t happen, she still would have been a happy VP idiot.

Forget the VPs. They don’t matter. Focus on the top of the ticket because they’ll be the ones pushing us around come 2025.
