They hate having to go to the greasy spoons and small town taverns. They don’t want to rub elbows with the great unwashed that live in fly-over country. No, they only want to campaign and get the votes of people who live in the big cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Boston, and on and on.
Our system is designed so the people who make the decisions in far away Washington DC are made to pay attention to the little guy who lives in the middle of nowhere. If not for the Electoral College system no campaign would be held in any small town in any state in America ever again. These people don’t give a shit about you and would love it if they never had to set foot in your dinky shithole of a town. They would rather attend their lavish parties held by billionaire donors and never elect another Republican.
