ICE agents shoot and kill another American. Trump and the feds won’t back down. In Minnesota, the governor and the mayor of Minneapolis are encouraging the protesters. We have millions of people “analyzing” videos online of the incident. We have millions more who think they can read the minds of the protesters and ICE agents. We have a media that’s more interested in pouring gas on the fire rather than informing the public.
U.S. immigration agents shot and killed a U.S. citizen in Minneapolis on Saturday, officials said, sparking fierce protests and condemnations from local leaders in the second such incident this month.
The Department of Homeland Security characterized the incident as an attack, saying a Border Patrol agent fired in self-defense after a man approached with a handgun and violently resisted attempts to disarm him.
But bystander videos from the scene verified and reviewed by Reuters showed the man, identified as 37-year-old Alex Pretti, holding a phone in his hand, not a gun, as he tries to help other protesters who have been pushed to the ground by agents.

Those protesting are dupes. They’re allowing themselves to be pawns and sacrificial lambs to warring political ideologies and a media hungry for eyeballs. Governments and media don’t care if you die for their cause.
The federal government is allowed to enforce the law. The public is allowed to protest their government. The civilized way out of this takes time, and no one has the patience anymore. We live in a world governed by emotion, and trials are only held in the court of public opinion. Everyone now is judge, jury, and executioner.
If both sides don’t back away from the precipice, this is going to get much worse before it gets better.
