How long have we been told that Depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain? How long have we been told Alzheimer’s is caused by brain deposits of plaques in brain tissue? Turns out both hypotheses may be false and the discovery of the cause of Alzheimer’s may be fraud. What does this tell you about “The Science” surrounding mRNA vaccines, which is in its infancy, and Climate Change?
Depression not caused by chemical imbalance
After decades of research, there remains no clear evidence that serotonin levels or serotonin activity are responsible for depression, according to a comprehensive review of prior research led by University College London (UCL) scientists.
The major new umbrella review – an overview of existing meta-analyses and systematic reviews – was published on July 20 in the journal Molecular Psychiatry. It suggests that depression is not likely caused by a chemical imbalance, and calls into question what antidepressant medications do. This is because most antidepressants are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), which were originally said to function by correcting abnormally low serotonin levels. In fact, there is no other accepted pharmacological mechanism by which antidepressants affect the symptoms of depression.Scientists Find No Evidence that Depression is Caused by Chemical Imbalance or Low Serotonin Levels – SciTechDaily
Brain images altered in influential Alzheimer’s study. Possible Fraud
A 6-month investigation by Science provided strong support for Schrag’s suspicions and raised questions about Lesné’s research. A leading independent image analyst and several top Alzheimer’s researchers—including George Perry of the University of Texas, San Antonio, and John Forsayeth of the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF)—reviewed most of Schrag’s findings at Science’s request. They concurred with his overall conclusions, which cast doubt on hundreds of images, including more than 70 in Lesné’s papers. Some look like “shockingly blatant” examples of image tampering, says Donna Wilcock, an Alzheimer’s expert at the University of Kentucky.
The authors “appeared to have composed figures by piecing together parts of photos from different experiments,” says Elisabeth Bik, a molecular biologist and well-known forensic image consultant. “The obtained experimental results might not have been the desired results, and that data might have been changed to … better fit a hypothesis.”Potential Fabrication of Research Images Threatens Key Theory of Alzheimer’s Disease – Science.org
Scientists are humans. They suffer the same foibles as the rest of us. They have egos, are susceptible to greed and corruption, and exhibit herd behavior. They’re not better than you or even smarter than you. They may know more about certain subjects but that means nothing if the knowledge is misapplied or purposely misused.
When you consume any information you must look at it with a critical eye. Even if it fits your world view or what you think you know to be true. You can’t trust scientists. You can’t trust your government. You can’t trust the media. Question everything. The truth is hard to find underneath all the lies.
