Biden Deputy Press Secretary TJ Ducklo should be fired

I didn’t know who TJ Ducklo was before today. The only reason I heard about him is because he threatened to “destroy” a writer for Politico. Why did he issue such a threat? Because Ducklo has a relationship with a reporter for Axios and that reporter covered the Biden campaign. And we wonder why the coverage of Biden was so fawning. This crap never ends.

But Ducklo shouldn’t be fired just because of the the threat he made. He should be fired because he appears to be an asshole. From the Vanity Fair article:

During the off-the-record call, Ducklo made derogatory and misogynistic comments, accusing Palmeri of only reporting on his relationship—which, due to the ethics questions that factor into the relationship between a journalist and White House official, falls under the purview of her reporting beat—because she was “jealous” that an unidentified man in the past had “wanted to fuck” McCammond “and not you.” Ducklo also accused Palmeri of being “jealous” of his relationship with McCammond. (Palmeri had no prior relationship or communication with McCammond before calling her to report on the Playbook item, which was a story that she was assigned and had not independently pursued.)

Vanity Fair

Actually… now that I think about it… he should be fired just for having the name TJ Ducklo.

Gina Carano gets cancelled by people defending Nazis and fascists

I had a tough time finding the actual post. It’s getting Google bombed. People can tell you about it but they’re not showing it.

I don’t normally pay much attention to celebrity news. But, once in a while these stories get so wide spread that even I hear about them. The latest is the bruhaha over Gina Carano and her firing by Disney over a post she made on Instagram. The post was about people with conservative political opinions being treated like Jews in Nazi Germany. Mind you, the Jews were rounded up and killed by the millions by Nazis. People with conservative viewpoints are not being rounded up and killed by the state… yet.

Actress Gina Carano has been booted off “The Mandalorian” after she penned a social media post that compared being a Republican to being Jewish in Nazi Germany.

The former MMA fighter — who played Cara Dune in the hit Disney+ show — was also dumped by United Talent Agency (UTA), Variety reported.

“Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future,” a Lucasfilm spokesperson said in a statement Wednesday.

“Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable,” the statement continued.

I think those calling for her cancellation and Disney’s subsequent firing proved the point she was making. Before the Nazis started murdering Jews they first propagandized the people against the Jews. That in turn allowed the state to start rounding them up. She didn’t denigrate the Jews. She was criticizing the Nazis and illustrating how they accomplished what they did. The people calling her out for cancellation are useful idiots of the progressive left.

A Charlie Brown Christmas should be cancelled

In our enlightened modern society how can we allow Charlie Brown to get psychologically abused by most of his friends and even his dog? How can we continue to subject current and future generations to the horrific bullying suffered by poor Charlie? Quite frankly it’s a wonder that Charlie didn’t grow up to be a trenchcoat wearing mass school shooter. The humiliation when he showed up with his vertically and needle challenged tree is hard to watch.

I can’t believe we still celebrate such abuse against one child.

New York Times writer Bari Weiss resigns with a scathing resignation letter

Wow. We all knew it was bad at places like the New York Times but this resignation letter written by one of their opinion writers, Bari Weiss, is a barn burner of a letter. She lets loose on the staff at the Times and describes such a hostile work environment that goes unchecked by the powers that be. They allow employees to be as bigoted as they please as long as their bigotry is aimed at those that don’t tow the far left liberal orthodoxy. Here’s an excerpt but you should really read the entire thing. And, when you read the New York Times keep everything she says in the back of your mind.

Twitter is not on the masthead of The New York Times. But Twitter has become its ultimate editor. As the ethics and mores of that platform have become those of the paper, the paper itself has increasingly become a kind of performance space. Stories are chosen and told in a way to satisfy the narrowest of audiences, rather than to allow a curious public to read about the world and then draw their own conclusions.I was always taught that journalists were charged with writing the first rough draft of history. Now, history itself is one more ephemeral thing molded to fit the needs of a predetermined narrative.

My own forays into Wrongthink have made me the subject of constant bullying by colleagues who disagree with my views. They have called me a Nazi and a racist; I have learned to brush off comments about how I’m “writing about the Jews again.” Several colleagues perceived to be friendly with me were badgered by coworkers. My work and my character are openly demeaned on company-wide Slack channels where masthead editors regularly weigh in. There, some coworkers insist I need to be rooted out if this company is to be a truly “inclusive” one, while others post ax emojis next to my name. Still other New York Times employees publicly smear me as a liar and a bigot on Twitter with no fear that harassing me will be met with appropriate action. They never are.

There are terms for all of this: unlawful discrimination, hostile work environment, and constructive discharge. I’m no legal expert. But I know that this is wrong.

Eskimo Pie left out in the cold

First it was the Land O Lakes Native American woman, then Aunt Jemima, and now they’ve come for the Eskimo Pie. We can’t have nice things anymore.

The owner of Eskimo Pie treats said it would change the name of the nearly century-old ice cream brand because the term is derogatory, following similar moves this week by the makers of Aunt Jemima and Uncle Ben’s.

“We are committed to being a part of the solution on racial equality, and recognize the term is derogatory,” Elizabell Marquez, head of marketing for Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, said in a statement.

Wall Street Journal

Forget that the images and connotation of the above names and likenesses have changed over time to better reflect the sensitivities of the day. According to the keeper of all knowledge, Wikipedia, the word Eskimo is not a derogatory word.

Etymologically speaking, there exists a scientific consensus that the word Eskimo comes from the Innu-aimun (Montagnais) word ayas̆kimew meaning “a person who laces a snowshoe” and is related to “husky” (a breed of dog), and it does not have a pejorative meaning in origin.

Today we’re just too sensitive for anything. Or the skeptic in me sees this as a marketing opportunity for a brand that has been in the deep freeze for a while (I’ll stop with the puns now). Who eats Eskimo Pies anymore?

In that same vein, I propose we change the name of the State of Illinois to the State of Bankruptcy. At least it’s an honest description.

Why should we appropriate the culture of the Inoka? Using the name of Native Americans that used to roam this state is insulting to those people. Look what we’ve done to this beautiful land.

Moral Superiorists are the new master race

This moral superiorist movement continues on their path towards the eradication of the impure. Sarah Silverman, whose comedy has always been built on the far edge of being offensive, finally suffered the attack of the moral superiorists and was fired from a movie just prior to its production. Her sin? She once did a skit where she donned blackface.

Sarah Silverman, a staunch supporter of liberal causes and of presidential candidate Bernie Sanders, is one of the biggest liberals in entertainment. She supports all the things today’s moral superiorists support. But the one thing you can’t have in this new world of the moral superiorist is have a past.

You can never make a mistake. You must be pure. You can’t slight anyone at any time unless they disagree with the moral superiorist ideology. Then not only is it okay to slight them but it’s okay to destroy them. Because in this new world of the moral superiorist purity in thought is paramount. They are the new master race.
