The Bears are no longer good enough to have the name Chicago in front of their team name. Chicago isn’t good enough for their own name, but that’s a rant for a different time. I’m so glad I no longer live in the Chicago area because I would still have the urge to watch the Bears play every week. I swore 2024 would be the last year I pay any attention to professional sports but like an addict needing his next fix I continue to keep tabs on the Bears.
I torture myself with these short recaps of the Bears’ incredible ineptitude. The Detroit Lions didn’t look that great in the first half, but like what happened last week against the Vikings, the Bears’ defense gave the Lions the confidence to slaughter the living shit out of the Bears.
I think it’s time for Chicago to let them go. Move to Arlington Heights and take the Chicago name away. Decades of embarrassment for all Chicago sports teams is getting ridiculous.
