On principle, the states that signed onto the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact should throw their electors to Trump

Have you heard of the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC)? Bet you haven’t. It’s a blatant attempt by many of the most socialist liberal states in the nation to subvert the Electoral College system. The NPVIC seeks to negate the Electoral College by these states pledging their electors to the winner of the popular vote. Since they believe this is the best course of action they should all stand on principle and pledge their electors to Trump thereby giving him a unanimous victory that will unify the country.

Imagine that, states like California, New York, and Massachusetts, bastions of progressive thought, suddenly deciding that the best way forward is to hand over their electoral votes to Trump. Of course, the legal minds might start whining about due process or some such, but let’s be real, when has that ever stopped anything?

So, here’s to the NPVIC states taking that courageous step for the greater good. Let’s see them lead by example and show us all how to truly change the political landscape, by giving Trump a resounding victory. It’s the democratic way, or at least, a new kind of democratic way.
