I’ve been listening to Indigo De Souza since 2018 when I ran across a YouTube video of her performing on Audiotree’s YouTube Channel. I really enjoyed her opening track “How I Get Myself Killed”. It’s a fantastic indie pop-rock tune.
I think she has one of the most unique voices in music today. Her style started as decidedly indie-rock but has evolved somewhat over the years. I still think that is the closest description of her sound even though it doesn’t quite capture her music.
Her lyrics are a little angsty, a little sardonic, and definitely heartfelt. She puts a ton of emotion in every song she sings. Try and listen to “Younger and Dumber” and not feel it. I love this song.
Her new album, “Precipice”, continues her unique sound with great tracks like “Heartthrob”, “Crying Over Nothing”, and my favorite on this outing, “Precipice”. Check it out!
