Trump defending Disney is proof he’s never been the right person to be President

Trump sees Florida Ron DeSantis as his main competition for the Republican nomination for President of the United States. Therefore DeSantis can do no right.

Trump is like Biden in that each man has no moral center or compass driving their actions. Both will say any stupid thing they think will move people in their direction. Both don’t really care about the future of the nation. The only difference is that some things Trump thinks are good for him are in fact good for the country whereas there is very little that is good for Biden that is also good for the country.

In this Wall Street Journal editorial about Trump defending Disney it’s clear it’s a naked ploy to try to weaken DeSantis. He’s trying to keep DeSantis from declaring his candidacy.

“Disney’s next move will be the announcement that no more money will be invested in Florida because of the Governor,” Mr. Trump wrote on Truth Social. “In fact, they could even announce a slow withdrawal or sale of certain properties, or the whole thing. Watch! That would be a killer. In the meantime, this is all so unnecessary, a political STUNT!”

He knows all about stunts. Mr. Trump thinks Mr. DeSantis’s dispute with Disney is hurting the Governor politically, so he’s piling on.

Under normal circumstances Trump would also be against Disney because the company has taken a turn for the woke. Trump’s base is firmly behind DeSantis’ efforts to claw back some perks for the company after they tried to meddle with legislation in Florida that had nothing to do with Disney. But Trump can’t bring himself to agree with DeSantis’ actions. Instead he takes a hard line in the other direction. He’s consistently contrary to what ever his opponents believe.

It should have been clear to anyone with a brain Trump is only after what’s good for Trump. The way he calls people the best in the world when he hires them and then calls them dumb and worthless when he fires them are classic examples of why he should never run the country.
