Are we trying to start WWIII? And what’s with crazy Lindsey Graham?

The noose is tightening around Russia. In our (the West) effort to squash Putin we are also squashing the Russian people. What happens if we push Putin too far into a corner? Back in the days of the Cold War we always made a point to say we don’t have a quarrel with the Russian people. We specified our problems were with the government and only the government. The steps we are taking today will squash the average Russian citizen seemingly without regard. Will they turn on us and support Putin’s invasion? Do they already? Look at these headlines.

What’s with Lindsey Graham? How is calling for Putin’s assassination helpful in any way?

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R., S.C.) said Thursday night that Russian President Vladimir Putin should be assassinated by his own people, suggesting it would be the only way to end the crisis precipitated by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Mr. Graham first made the assertion during an appearance on Sean Hannity’s show on Fox News. He then repeated the comment on Twitter, referencing both the betrayer of Julius Caesar and the architect of an unsuccessful 1944 plot to kill Adolf Hitler.

“Is there a Brutus in Russia? Is there a more successful Colonel Stauffenberg in the Russian military?” he asked. “The only way this ends is for somebody in Russia to take this guy out. You would be doing your country – and the world – a great service.”

He’s labeled as a Trump stooge and Putin supporter but what Colonel Douglas Macgregor said in an interview on Fox News may be the correct assessment on what’s happening in Ukraine.

Why are we taking such drastic steps? When did Ukraine become a national interest of the United States?
