A family sued a hospital in the Chicago area in order to get them to treat their mother with Ivermectin. Their mother was on a ventilator and in intensive care for a month and the family wanted to try something else because she wasn’t improving. The hospital refused and in fact never did administer the drug themselves. The opening paragraph of the Fox 32 story is contradicted later.
The first dose of ivermectin was administered by Elmhurst Hospital Monday night, three days after a judge ordered the hospital to honor a family’s request to treat their mother.

Here’s the contradiction. An outside doctor was allowed to come in to administer the medication.
The hospital initially refused to give 68-year-old Nurije Fype the drug, in defiance of a judge’s orders. But her daughter Desi Fype said on Monday night, they reversed course and allowed an outside doctor to come in and administer the drug to her mother.

The station did a follow up and it looks like the patient is improving.
“Today, after her first dose, the ventilator has been reduced from 75 percent to 65 percent,” said Fype family attorney Ralph Lorigo. “That’s an improvement. Now she will get a dose of ivermectin every day until recovery.”
