My wife and I are already starting our search to move out of the State of Illinois. Our primary reason is financial. Our property taxes are simply too high. With the knowledge that over half of what we pay in taxes goes to pension debt means that less than half of our tax dollars actually go towards government services we might use.
The new reason is that every year during crawfish season in Louisiana we order a bunch of live crawfish to do our own crawfish boil. This year, Illinois banned the entry of these live crawfish because they designated them an “invasive species”. How many people are buying crawfish from Louisiana and dumping them into ponds and rivers?
Our state is run by a bunch of assholes.
